Every one of the points below would be wrong if you swapped another town name into it. That is the test we hold this page to.
East Gwillimbury is not one town, it is five communities with a lot of farmland between them. Holland Landing, Sharon, Queensville, Mount Albert and River Drive Park each have a different drive to us, ranging from ten minutes to twenty-five, and the right route out is different for each.
The municipality has been among the fastest growing in Ontario for a decade, and the build-out around Green Lane, Leslie Street and the Queensville Sideroad has added thousands of households. Health and personal services have not kept pace, and there is no medical aesthetics clinic anywhere in the municipality.
East Gwillimbury GO on the Barrie line is the station most of the municipality uses, and Bradford GO is the very next stop north of it. If you would rather not drive, that is a single stop on the train.
The northern boundary of East Gwillimbury is the Holland Marsh, and Bradford is on the other side of it. That single geographic fact is why we are closer to most of this municipality than the York Region clinics further down Yonge Street.

Five communities, one drive north
East Gwillimbury is unusual among Ontario municipalities in that it does not really have a downtown. It has Holland Landing, Sharon, Queensville, Mount Albert and River Drive Park, spread across a large rural township that has been filling in with new housing faster than almost anywhere in the province.
That shape matters for a page like this, because there is no single answer to “how far is it”. From Holland Landing we are ten minutes. From Sharon, fifteen. From Queensville, fifteen. From Mount Albert, closer to twenty-five. What is consistent is the last part of the journey: everything funnels onto Yonge Street and crosses the Holland Marsh into Bradford.
Growth without services
The build-out around Green Lane, Leslie Street and the Queensville Sideroad has added thousands of households to East Gwillimbury. What it has not added is a medical aesthetics clinic, a dermatology practice or anything comparable. The municipality has a superb new recreation and library plaza and no skin clinic at all.
So East Gwillimbury drives. South into Newmarket, where the clinics cluster on Yonge between Davis and Mulock and parking is a plaza problem, or north into Bradford, where the clinic has its own lot.
Why the marsh works in your favour
The Holland Marsh is the reason this drive is faster than it looks. Kilometres of drained farmland with no development on it means Yonge Street between Holland Landing and Bradford has nothing to slow you down. No lights, no plazas, no left turns across traffic.
The same distance of Yonge Street south of you, through Newmarket and Aurora, would take roughly twice as long.

Which route should I take?
It depends where in the municipality you are. From Holland Landing, Yonge Street north, ten minutes. From Sharon, Mount Albert Road west to Yonge. From Queensville, the Queensville Sideroad west to Yonge. From Mount Albert, Mount Albert Road all the way west. All of them join Yonge and cross the marsh.
Is there a clinic in East Gwillimbury?
Not for medical aesthetics. The municipality has grown enormously but the services have lagged. Your realistic options are Newmarket to the south or Bradford to the north.
Can I take the GO train?
Bradford GO is the next stop north of East Gwillimbury GO on the Barrie line, one stop. Check the timetable, because midday northbound service is limited, but it works well for a morning appointment.
How long is a first appointment?
A consultation is a proper assessment rather than a sales conversation. Allow forty-five minutes to an hour. If a treatment is appropriate and you want to go ahead the same day, tell us when you book and we will allow for it.
Do you treat acne in teenagers?
Yes. Teen and adult acne are both on our list of treated conditions, and they are assessed by a nurse rather than sold a facial.
