The people in the room

A nurse practitioner
leads every plan.A licensed nurse places every injectable.

Bradford Skin Clinic is nurse-practitioner-led. Not a salon with a visiting injector, not a med-spa where a technician works from a treatment menu. Your plan is assessed and authorised by our Medical Director, and the person holding the needle holds a nursing licence in Ontario. Every time. Without exception.

02 · Who signs off your treatment

Alex Dinovich,

Alex Dinovich, Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director of Bradford Skin Clinic, in navy scrubs
Licence #13564840 Verify on the CNO register

Every treatment plan in this clinic goes through Alex. Not as a rubber stamp at the end - as the clinical decision at the start.

  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Medical Director
  • 8+ years injecting
  • Skin health & laser

Alex has spent more than eight years in injectables, skin health and laser. She is a Family and Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner and the clinic's Medical Director, registered in Ontario under licence #13564840.

Most people skim past a credential like that, so here is what it actually changes. Before anything is drawn up, someone with prescribing authority takes your history - what medication you are on, what you have had done before, what you are genuinely trying to fix. If a treatment is wrong for your face, your skin or your health, you are told that at the consultation, not after you have paid for it.

A salon cannot do that. Neither can a med-spa staffed by technicians. In Ontario, technician is not a protected title - anyone is free to use it. Nurse and Nurse Practitioner are protected titles that require registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and that registration is a matter of public record.

Who assesses you
A nurse practitioner. Not a consultant, not a salesperson working from a price list.
Who authorises it
Alex Dinovich, as Medical Director. Neuromodulators such as Botox are prescription medicines in Canada - they are not something a clinic can simply hand out.
Who holds the needle
A licensed nurse. Always. Never a technician.
Who you see next time
The same practitioner at your review appointment, so someone who remembers your face is judging the result.

03 · Registered Practical Nurses

Three nurses.
One standard.

Each of them is a Registered Practical Nurse licensed in Ontario, injecting to a plan our Medical Director has assessed and authorised. You will meet the person treating you, by name, before anything is drawn up.

The rest of
the building.

Injecting is not the whole clinic. Skin health, naturopathic care and the person who answers your text all sit under the same roof - and the same standard.

05 · Letters after a name

What our credentials
actually mean.

Nobody explains this properly, so here it is in the plainest language we can manage - written for someone deciding whether to trust us with their face, not for a regulator.

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse with additional graduate-level education and an extended class of registration in Ontario. In broad terms that lets an NP assess and diagnose, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medication within their scope of practice. In this clinic it is the reason your plan can be built, authorised and adjusted in-house, by someone who has actually met you.

Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

An RPN is a licensed nurse regulated by the College of Nurses of Ontario. RPNs assess, deliver care and administer treatments - they do not prescribe. In an aesthetics setting that means an RPN can place your injectable, while the medicine and the plan behind it are authorised by a prescriber. It is a division of labour, not a shortcut.

"Signed off by the Medical Director"

Neuromodulators such as Botox are prescription medicines in Canada. They cannot simply be picked from a menu. Here, the prescriber is our Medical Director, Alex Dinovich - which means the person authorising your treatment is in the building, has read your history, and carries responsibility for the plan. Not a signature from a doctor you will never meet.

A Naturopathic Doctor licence

Naturopathic doctors in Ontario are regulated health professionals registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, following an accredited multi-year programme and board examinations. Licence #3239 is Dr. Vriend's public registration number. The college keeps a public register, and we would rather you checked it than took our word for it.

We have deliberately kept this general. Scope of practice in Ontario is set by legislation and by the regulatory colleges, and it is reviewed and updated over time. If you want the exact detail for the exact treatment you are considering, ask at your consultation - we will tell you who will be in the room, what they are registered to do, and who authorised the plan.

They name
the nurse.

The reviews we care about are the ones that name a person rather than a treatment. These three are on Google, unedited.

07 · Come and meet us

Meet whoever
will be treating you.

A consultation is free, costs you nothing and commits you to nothing. You will sit with a nurse, get an honest answer about what would and would not work - and if the answer is "don't do it", we will say so.
