Every one of the points below would be wrong if you swapped another town name into it. That is the test we hold this page to.
Alliston runs on Honda's two manufacturing plants, and Honda runs on shifts. A clinic that closes at five is no use to a day shift finishing at half past three with a thirty minute drive in front of it. We hold 7pm closes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Stevenson Memorial Hospital covers Alliston and the surrounding townships. It does not do medical aesthetics, and neither does anything else in New Tecumseth at the level of laser resurfacing or radiofrequency microneedling. Barrie and Bradford are the two realistic options and Bradford is the shorter drive from Victoria Street.
Highway 89 east to the 400 is a two lane road through farmland with one real bottleneck, the Cookstown junction at Highway 27. Leaving Alliston before 4pm or after 6pm avoids it entirely.
New Tecumseth is a farming municipality with a factory in the middle of it. Between field work and plant work, a lot of Alliston skin arrives with either cumulative outdoor sun exposure or the dryness that comes from a controlled indoor environment ten hours a day. They are different problems and they get different plans.

Thirty minutes, and the shift pattern is the real constraint
Alliston is a manufacturing town. Honda’s plants are the largest employer in New Tecumseth and they run shift schedules, which means the useful question is not how far away we are but whether we are open when you finish.
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays we are open until 7pm. A day shift ending mid afternoon leaves plenty of time for Highway 89, the 400 and a full appointment. Wednesdays we close at 5pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 4pm, so those are the days to avoid if you are travelling after work.
Getting here
Highway 89 east out of Alliston, through Cookstown, onto Highway 400 southbound, off at Exit 64 for Highway 88 and Bradford, then east on Holland Street West to number 444. Around thirty minutes.
The one thing worth knowing is the Cookstown junction where Highway 89 meets Highway 27. Between four and six it backs up, partly from the outlet mall. If you are leaving Alliston in that window, County Road 10 south to Tottenham then Highway 27 north to Highway 88 is a quieter run and lands within a couple of minutes of the same time.
What New Tecumseth does not have
Stevenson Memorial covers the medical side. For aesthetics, the municipality has salon and spa services but nothing running CO2 laser resurfacing, Morpheus8 or BBL, and no clinic with a Nurse Practitioner as Medical Director. That is the gap this page is really about.

Because an NP can assess, diagnose and prescribe, the treatments that need a prescription behind them, medical weight loss and prescription skin protocols in particular, are handled in the room rather than referred back to your family doctor in Alliston.
Two kinds of Alliston skin
Farm and field work produces cumulative outdoor sun damage, usually across the nose, cheekbones, forearms and the back of the neck. Plant work in a climate-controlled building for ten hours a day produces something else entirely, a dryness and dullness with a compromised barrier underneath.
They look superficially similar and they need opposite things. One needs resurfacing and pigment work. The other needs barrier repair before you go near a device. Come in for an assessment and we will tell you which one you are.

How do I get to you from Alliston?

I finish a shift at 3:30pm. Can I get an appointment?
Yes. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays we run to 7pm, which gives you the drive plus a full appointment. Wednesdays we close at 5pm, so that day is tighter.
Is there anything like this in New Tecumseth?
Not at the clinical end. Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham have salon and spa services, but laser resurfacing, Morpheus8 and nurse-practitioner-led prescribing are not available in the municipality.
Do you offer weight loss programs?
Yes, medical weight loss led by our Nurse Practitioner, who can prescribe. It runs monthly rather than as a single visit, so plan the drive as a recurring one.
Can I bring my teenager for acne?
Yes. Teen acne is one of the conditions we treat, and it is assessed properly rather than sold a facial. If the answer is a prescription and a routine rather than a device, that is what we will say.
